I believe that trust is one of the many keys to life as we know it. For many long years I never could decide whether God existed or not, but eventually I came to understand that it is not a matter of belief but trust.
From where I am sitting I could hit half a dozen believers with a stone, should I be so careless to toss one, but I would be hard put to find one who would trust God enough to argue the toss with him and still come out with both of you winning.
Whatever form your God or god takes, trust him or her enough that they are there to help you find you, rather than a causer of trouble when things go wrong or bonuses when things go right.

065: Monday Moaners Are Mad!
Monday Mugshots
How do you think other people enjoy listening to us moan about the fact that it is Monday? Are we not just being a teensy bit selfish by imposing our lack of thought on our our family, friends and co-workers? Being miserable is often a tool in the hands of those who wish to make headway in business, being miserable in the office to gain sympathy and, as it happens, free information from people around trying to make that person feel better. Don't believe me? You need to observe office dynamics a little closer.
Today, my bunny ears are my two fingers up to those who seek to abuse others in order to aid their own climb of the slippery pole of company success. one day they will have more money, bigger cars, larger houses and more expensive houses - but as much ability to talk seriously about things outside of work as a low-IQ bum.

034: It's In The Mouth
Today we jetted off to New York from here in Poland for a week. Hugo the ginger cat is a mischief, you never know what he will be doing or where he will be in thirty seconds time. "That was then, this is now," is his motto.
The symmetry in the original image was too good an opportunity to miss, but I partially concealed this by offsetting the image. Like using the things one finds around oneself as props, one should also use the potential one finds in the image - it is your image and your art after all.

23: Human Bodies as Words
A few words from your god...
The last day of the long weekend, and today I managed to get a shot that only required minor editing. Here the letter is a V, as an "A VEe", or 'ave'.
Living in Poland and you cannot help notice that the churches look different - but the one I can see from my window at work has a replica, circa 1938, English Gothic tower in concrete. This tower had until fairly recently the word 'AVE" near the top on each side. I simply used the idea of "AVE" in the sky and the idea of a god, looking down from heaven, with the burning fire of Hell just behind one shoulder.

16: Beautiful Mistakes
Today's task was to produce a mistake, as if you were about to press the shutter and something changed the image to create a different kind of beauty. Fine if it happens, but how do you achieve accidentality within any particular 24 hour period?
Thinking about the camera, I realised that using the timer could help as you are less certain about when the shutter will operate, so if you play around in front of the camera you might eventually create a suitable image. Secondly, I remembered a group I found on Flikr that was about creating shots by throwing one's camera in the air.
Finally, I just held the camera in my hand, pointed it in roughly the right direction and pressed the shutter. I had to do this a few times in different locations before I came up with this one.
Other people used my suggested timer and throw techniques, which in a way puts an element of my art in their images, as it is my thought that directed them to produce their images. I think this area of idea creation needs further investigation.
